Glossary
AVS (Actively Validated Services):
A security framework within EigenLayer that enforces validation and consensus mechanisms across participating nodes, ensuring reliable and secure task execution.
BLS Signatures:
A cryptographic signature scheme that aggregates multiple signatures into a single one for efficient verification and secure consensus in decentralized networks.
Cross-Chain Communication:
A mechanism that facilitates secure data and event transmission between different blockchain networks, enabling interoperability.
Keeper:
A designated operator within the TriggerX network responsible for executing predefined tasks on specified smart contracts.
L1 (Layer 1):
The base blockchain network that serves as the primary source of truth for data and contract execution, such as Ethereum.
L2 (Layer 2):
Secondary blockchain networks that operate on top of L1 networks to provide scalability and faster transaction processing, such as Base Sepolia or OP Sepolia.
ProxyHub Contract:
The central coordination contract on Base Sepolia verifies keeper registration and broadcasts updates to all L2 networks.
ProxySpoke Contract:
A contract is deployed on specific L2 networks to maintain synchronized keeper registries and verify credentials locally.
Registration Process:
The process by which keepers register or unregister themselves with the AVS Governance contract to gain or revoke execution authorization.
Secure Keeper Execution Framework:
A structured architecture that ensures only registered and verified keepers can execute tasks across multiple blockchain networks in the TriggerX ecosystem.
Task Execution:
The process of executing a predefined function or job on a smart contract, typically managed by keepers in the TriggerX network.
